The Cardiff Hurricanes were formed by Joe Cotterill just weeks before the start of the 2013 flag season. Despite a short period of preparation the Hurricanes only lost to the defending champion London Rebels and once to the Chichester Sharks. Cardiff lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Rebels in the closest game the London outfit had experienced in two years. https://youtu.be/0oEDTEkEUf0?t=1m8s.
